Information / FAQ

Can Air Southwest accept passengers with disabilities / reduced mobility?

Air Southwest endeavours to meet the requirements of passengers with special needs. For safety and operational reasons however it is necessary to limit the number of passengers who are unable to ascend and descend the aircraft steps unaided to a maximum of two. Due to Health and Safety requirements, customers requiring a lift to manage the aircraft steps must weigh less than 18 Stone (115 kilos). Customers should notify us in advance of their requirements by telephoning our call centre on 0870 241 8202 where our staff will do their best to assist. There will be no additional charge for using the services of the Call Centre in such circumstances.

Alternatively customers may email us at reservation-queries@airsouthwest.com either detailing their requirements or to request a telephone call to discuss the matter. Please include a contact telephone number in the email. Please note that this email account is monitored Monday to Friday from 0900-1700.

It is not possible to accept passengers with a level of disability which requires the presence of a care assistant unless a care assistant is travelling with that passenger.
