Air Southwest Privacy Policy


Air Southwest is committed to protecting your privacy, and takes its responsibilities regarding the security of customer information very seriously. This policy explains how we use customer information and how we protect your privacy. All personal information held by Air Southwest is governed by the UK Data Protection Act 1998.

Personal Data
In order to process your booking, we collect personal details from you. These details may include (where applicable) passenger names, addresses, passport or Government issued EU National ID card numbers, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, credit/debit card or other payment details. In some instances we may also collect information regarding medical conditions (only for passengers who have special medical requirements) which may affect the chosen flight arrangements.
Your data may be used for the following purposes: contacting you in the event of a flight time change or cancellation, credit or other payment card verification/screening, immigration/customs control safety, security, health, administrative, crime prevention/detection, legal purposes, statistical and marketing analysis, systems testing, customer surveys and customer relations communications.

Direct Marketing Material

From time to time we may contact you with information regarding flight promotions and ancillary products via email. However, you will have the choice to opt in or out of receiving such communications by indicating so at booking stage. You will also be given the opportunity on every e-communication that we send you to indicate that you no longer wish to receive our direct marketing material.

Links to other websites
For your convenience and information the Air Southwest website provides links to other websites. We would like to make you aware that these sites may have different security and privacy policies and that we have no control over and take no responsibility for any information contained in these sites.

Site tracking
We use tracking software to monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the websites. This software does not enable us to capture any personal passenger information.

Use of cookies
Certain Air Southwest activities such as advertising and research make use of cookies. This means that Air Southwest may compile statistics about users, information requests, traffic patterns and any other related site information. However, Air Southwest will not provide any information of this nature to any third party that could identify you as an individual.

What are cookies?
A cookie is a small non-executable file that is stored on your hard drive for the purpose of identifying your computer. Cookies help us monitor what sections of the website you visit so that we can keep improving our service in accordance with user preferences. We may incorporate cookie-generated data together with form submitted data to communicate with you in the most appropriate way. Our cookies don't hold any personal or confidential information about you. Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have a right of access to the personal information we hold about you. If you wish to exercise this right, please submit a Data Subject Access Request in writing to

Requests by telephone, fax, or e-mail cannot be accepted.

In accordance with the Act, Air Southwest is not obliged to comply with your request unless the prescribed fee is paid, sufficient security information is provided to establish the requestor's identity and locate the appropriate information.

Please enclose the following with your request:
A postal order or cheque (made payable to Air Southwest) for £10
A photocopy of your passport, or any other official document upon which your signature is present
A flight number from a recent flight
Details of any specific documents you require that contain your personal details (if known)

You will receive an acknowledgement of your request quoting the date by which you will receive the requested information.  Further correspondence regarding your request should only be made in writing to the Data Protection Manager at the above address.

Changes to Privacy Statement
Our Privacy Statement may change from time to time and any changes to the statement will be posted on this page.
